Nagare (pronounced "na-ga-reh") is the first of a series of design
concepts that Mazda will showcase this global auto show season. Under
the direction of Mazda's new global design director, Laurens van den
Acker, the challenge given to the team was to invent a novel means
of registering motion in vehicles whether they're moving or still.
Nagare achieves that goal while also signaling a fresh design direction
for future Mazda vehicles.
The Senku is the revolutionary new concept coupe from Mazda. At once
dynamic and supremely elegant, it is a self-assured and mature sports
car that seats four adults. And with its combination rotary, direct
injection, hybrid drivetrain, the Senku is Mazda's pride and joy.
A sleek, sophisticated and spacious RWD sports coupe, Mazda's Kabura
concept is as innovative on the outside as it is on the inside. Designed
in California, its funneled, rake-back design and smoothly flared
wheel wells make the light weight Kabura seem to be in perpetual motion.
In Japanese, Sassou means "a positive state of mind." It means looking
towards the future with uninhibited optimism. Mazda's unmatched reputation
for this kind of forward thinking comes to live with its new concept
car, the Sassou.
